Upcoming “Visions & Voices 2025” – Kanata Art Club’s Juried Exhibition at Foyer Gallery

We’re excited to announce that the Kanata Art Club (KAC) has been selected to host a juried exhibition at Foyer Gallery this June!

Entitled “Visions & Voices,” this juried exhibition will showcase a diverse collection of artworks, each telling a unique story through colour, texture, and form. Don’t miss this opportunity to apply to be part of this experience in a professional gallery setting.  A juried art exhibition means that a panel of three independent art professionals (non-KAC members) will review all submitted artworks online. Only the top-ranked pieces will be chosen for display, making this a competitive and prestigious event.

How to Participate

● Registration Opens: March 14, 2025. Register online at the KAC website, on the Events page. Pay the required fee either by credit card (on-line) or by e-transfer, payable to the Kanata Art Club, at: treasurer@kanataartclub.com. Submit your paintings for the jury through a Google account (more details available on the Eligibility and Conditions of Entry page).

•  Registration Closes: April 4, 2025
• Submission Fee:
• $15 for one artwork
• $25 for two artworks

Important Dates

• Artwork Drop-off and Hanging (for selected artworks): Monday, June 2, 2025, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
• Reception & Award Ceremony: Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
• Pick-Up of Artwork: Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Artist Responsibilities

Artists with accepted works must:

• • Agree to take a minimum of two (3 hour) shifts in the gallery, to operate it during the exhibition.
  • Attend an in-person training session on operating the gallery, including security, Square terminal and cash transactions.
  • Artists may also be required to assist with the check-in, hanging or take down of artworks.

The hours of the Foyer Gallery are:

• • Tuesday–Wednesday from 10 AM–1 PM and 6–9 PM,
  • Thursday–Friday from 9 AM–3 PM and 6–9 PM, and
  • Saturday–Sunday from 10 AM–4 PM.

Showcase Your Cards & Small Unframed Artworks at the Foyer Gallery

The Foyer Gallery offers a fantastic opportunity for artists to display and sell cards and small artworks (matted and inserted in 8”x10” or 16”X20” plastic sleeves).  Prints will be accepted. There will be no additional fee for those applying for the juried exhibition. However if you’re not applying for the juried exhibition, you can still contribute your work! KAC members can exhibit a selection of cards and very small artworks for a small fee of $10, payable online through the KAC website, or by e-transfer, payable to the Kanata Art Club, at: treasurer@kanataartclub.com.
