The Workshop

This is a three day, ‘travelling’ workshop where we will focus on using lines and values to quickly capture scenes. We will use easily portable tools typical for travelers, and work in ink and watercolour. With Marek’s help, we will learn to:

Deconstruct: eliminate clutter & remove unwanted elements,

Rearrange: improve our composition by relocating content

Decide: determine the area of interest / focal point

Simplify: apply colours in a streamlined way, approximating reality with the palette range in use

Accelerate: sketch in a loose, fast mode

Gain confidence with tips on how to sketch in public and in busy urban areas
