The Class:
Flowers have the power to enhance our mood and uplift any space they adorn. In this watercolour class, we will work in many layers, to create a world of textures, bright colours and depth in floral paintings. Danielle will share her method for noticing small details, choosing colours and painting techniques. Macro views of flowers provide close-ups to reveal a perspective and textures not seen with the naked eye.
For two hours each week, you will receive advice on the necessary steps for each painting. All participants will then paint along to apply the demonstrated techniques. The focus will be on interactive and individualized instruction, and you will be encouraged to ask questions throughout.
Between classes, you may send photos of either in-progress or completed paintings to Danielle for a private critique or advice to take your painting to the next stage.
If you cannot attend any of the live classes, don’t worry. All the presentations and recordings will be available to you after each class.
You will complete 2 or 3 paintings during this 6-week class. Participants will have a bit of homework each week.
Painting experience is desirable.
